Frequently Asked Questions

What is Coworking?

Coworking is a membership club that brings people together who share the need for a place to conduct their business in an interactive space.

What kind of people work at Workers Hut?

Our community is comprised of creatives, designers, developers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, small business owners, telecommuters, marketers, professionals and more. If you can work from anywhere, you can work from Workers Hut.

What are your hours of operation?

9am - 5pm Monday - Friday (excluding Public Holidays). Between these hours our space hosts are on hand to welcome your guests and ensure that everyone knows where they are going.

Do you have car parking?

Yes, onsite car parking is available at the front of the building or on the street in Baines Crescent/nearby council car parks. We will be installing bike racks for your use in the near future and encourage this as an alternative.

Do you provide computers or monitors?

No, you must bring your own computer and monitor. We provide a desk, chair, high-speed internet, and power for your workstation. Permanent desk and private office members are encouraged to provide their own desk chair, coffee mug etc to enhance their workspace and comfort as they see fit.

Can I bring guests into a meeting room?

Yes, absolutely your guests are more than welcome to meet with you as they would your own office space else where. This is your business base and we would hope that you would use it as such.

I talk on the phone a lot. Is that going to be a problem?

Our community and space operate on mutual respect between our members. While taking a brief call at your desk is perfectly acceptable, if you think your extended phone time is bothering others, its up to you to take the call elsewhere in the space, like the conference room or the lounge. If you spend ALL day on the phone, you might like to consider a private office (subject to availability) or Workers Hut may not be the space for you.

Do you provide Food & Beverages?

Tea, Coffee and drinking water are available @ the Workers Hut for your enjoyment. We have an Expressi machine providing a range of coffees, chai and hot chocolate and ask a $1 contribution per pod. Alternatively Workers Hut is surrounded by fabulous local cafe's for your daily fix. You are welcome to BYO food and beverages to the Workers Hut.

How do I access the Community App?

Dowload the Nexudus Passport app on the apple or android stores and you will be able to receive alerts, collaborate with other members and manage your account via your phone. You can use the same sign in details for this app as the website member login. We encourage you to complete your business profile to ensure other members can utilise your skills and promote your business.

Security and Insurance

Workers Hut strongly encourages you to maintain your own public liability, property and indemnity insurance for your own professional operation.

Permanent Desks and Private office users are provided with a lockable filing cabinet for their use. Please keep in mind that members are responsible for their own belongings at all times within the space. More information can be found in the terms and conditions of your membership.

Use of the Workers Hut is limited to members and their guests (for professional purposes only). We are in the process of installing a Door Access Sytem to enable members to enter the building via their smart phone.

Feedback

The Workers Hut is your space and as such we welcome your feedback at all times. Please feel free to send a private message via the Passport App, email [email protected] or stop by reception for a chat if you have a request, complaint or constructive feedback.
